Synopsis
Playa is a synthesis of stock conversations and film crafted on super 8mm and super 35mm, about my own young love. It narrates my relationship in an experimental way to make the viewer re-think the way we build our memories. This film was shot in Barcelona, Mexico City and La Habana. It’s an example of a generation that lives fabricating memories to share, and feels nostalgic for memories adapted from previous generations. Playa is thought as a memory that anyone could make their own dream.

Francisco Borrajo
He was born and raised in Mexico City. Studied the degree in Cinema and Television at the CENTRO university. He was a participant in the edition of the short film La libertad de Hugo (FICM 2014). In 2015 he edited the feature film La Asunción de José premiered at the Distrital festival. He also edited the short film Dragonfly (FICM 2016, Berlinale Generation 2017, Tolouse Cinelatino 2017).
